We’re inviting our gym’s local communities to celebrate National Fitness Day by enjoying free access to our Bracknell, Slough and Langley gyms, in return for a donation to our charity Absolutely Together.
National Fitness Day, which takes place on Wednesday 21st September, highlights the wide range of activities that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and the benefits that being active can have on physical and mental wellbeing.
Between Tuesday 20th and Friday 23rd September, we’re is giving free access to all parts of the gyms. These include a ladies-only area, functional training zones, in excess of 150 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment, and a choice of fitness classes such as Zumba, Yoga, spinning and HIIT.
Throughout the week, visitors to the gyms will also be able to take part in games and challenges to win prizes and free memberships.
All the money raised will be donated to Absolutely Together, which works with families who have children and young adults with additional needs. It provides free access to leisure activities they can take part in as a family – something that is not always possible due to financial or physical restrictions.
Sandra Grochowska, Centre Manager at Absolutely Fitness in Slough, commented:
“Fitness means different things to different people. Some may enjoy lifting weights, whereas others find working out with a group in a class more beneficial. Therefore, we are giving free access, in return for a small donation to Absolutely Together, to every part of the gyms so visitors can discover what they enjoy.
Harry Smith, Centre Manager at Absolutely Fitness in Bracknell and Langley, added:
“Our friendly teams will be around all week to help people discover a new fitness activity and learn how to use the equipment. To help them continue with a new healthy plan, everyone who becomes an Absolutely Fitness member in September will only pay £9.99 for the first three months.”
